Vocational Education of Impoverished Farmers’ Children

WTS is collaborating with Mr Prashant Gujjar of Sarvodaya Gandhian Movement. He supports vocational training of daughters of impoverished farmers to help them become economically independent.

Farmers’ poverty is a serious problem in India. Many farmers commit suicide sometimes being unable to pay back loans as little as Rs 25,000. With the main breadwinner gone, children particularly girls are under serious threat of exploitation. Empowering rural girls through education to make them economically independent is vitally important. .

WTS is supporting  the education of five girls to complete their three-year nursing course starting from the academic year 2017-18 through 2019-20 till the completion of their chosen course at Care School of Nursing, Hyderabad.
